A little light. A lot of heart.
Dear Luma Family,
Sometimes you carry a dream in your heart for a long time, and then you get to watch it come to life right in front of you. That’s exactly what Sunday felt like.
Over 75 of us filled the room for our very first Luma kickoff—parents, kids, incredible teen volunteers, and friends. From the second everyone walked through the door, you could just feel the warmth. It was a space filled with total acceptance, real connections, and so much shared joy.
Luma was truly built by this whole community. Donors believed in what we could build together, parents shared what their families really needed, and our teen volunteers brought so much heart, leadership, and energy. Every single person played a part—and from day one, it already felt like a place where everyone truly belongs.
A heartfelt thank you to the Grodin family for sponsoring Sunday’s kickoff and helping us launch this community with so much love. We are so grateful for your belief in Luma.
If there was one moment that captured the spirit of Luma, it happened during the drum circle. One of our kids started playing a simple rhythm, and the teen volunteer next to them instantly picked it up and matched it. Before we knew it, the whole room was playing together. Seeing our kids light up with that kind of confidence, connection, and pure joy—that is why Luma exists.
Celebrating Our Luma Family
Because Luma is all about sharing life’s beautiful milestones together: a huge Mazal Tov to the Rogg Family on the birth of their baby girl! We are so excited to welcome this sweet new addition to our community. Sending you so much love and blessings on this new chapter!
As we head into the new year, we’re wishing every one of your families and volunteers a Shana Tova U’Metukah—a year full of growth, deep community support, sweet moments, and endless blessings.
Here’s to building a bright, inclusive future together.
With so much love,
Zally, Esti & Family
